Operation Of hope and beloved Operation of Hope gives Beloved, a young Zimbabwean and landmine victim a new face. Errol Barnett reports. Watch at Beloved’s Homecoming Beloved is the story of a young African boy, who at the age of 10, placed a land-mine in his mouth which accidently detonated. Operation of Hope met Beloved and his family in Harare, Zimbabwe in 2006 and has since taken him to the United States to perform what’s called a “free-flap” surgery at the UCLA Medical Center in Westwood California. The result of this very successful procedure are shown in this updated documentary on Beloved.
